The Conference held at the Hotel Russell, Russell Square, on 27 September 2007, was opened by Donald Brydon, Chairman of the ifs School of Finance, and chaired by Daniel Dodd of the BBC, who has kindly donated his fee to the BBC Children in Need charity (see www.bbc.co.uk/pudsey for details of this year’s Appeal which is taking place on 16 November).
Lembit Opik MP gave a lively keynote speech in which he emphasised the Liberal Democrats’ strong support for employee share ownership, but cautioned that work was still needed “…to adjust the culture of some businesses in the UK who are not used to sharing the rewards of success.”
Delegates had a choice of 14 breakout sessions to attend. Thank you to all our sponsors and exhibitors.
