ifs ProShare is part of the ifs School of Finance. The ifs School of Finance is a registered charity incorporated by Royal Charter that provides financial education to financial services professionals around the world and to consumers in the UK. We are a not-for-profit membership organisation that provides a voice for the Employee Share Ownership (ESO) industry. We act as an essential point of liaison between ESO professionals, service providers and companies committed to and involved in employee share plans and other share ownership schemes. We provide a forum for members to come together and share knowledge, ideas and expertise.
Our aim is to support Employee Share Ownership through liaison with members to provide information on share plans, to encourage sharing of best practice, commission research and engage in dialogue with relevant industry bodies.
We represent the industry to policymakers, the media, the European Union and other regulatory and statutory bodies.
As a Faculty of the ifs School of Finance, ifs ProShare has a Faculty Board. The Chairman of the Faculty Board is appointed by the Chair of the Board of Governors of the ifs School of Finance. The Chair of the Faculty sits on the Board of Governors and reports to them on the Faculty's activities.
The Faculty Board comprises the ifs School of Finance Chief Executive, Deputy Chief Executive, and Director New Projects and External Affairs and the Head of the ifs ProShare Faculty, in addition to up to fifteen external members nominated by the Chief Executive and Faculty Chair. Members serve a two-year term for a maximum of two terms.
The ifs ProShare Faculty Board is an Advisory Board whose role is to advise and support the Faculty in its planning and development; to support the Faculty's events and activities and to promote the Faculty externally.
